Core principles

Shared Science Publishers is a publishing group dedicated to the dissemination of scientific data and knowledge. Shared Science Publishers sees its primary goal in the communication of science at all levels, enabling the acquisition and exchange of ideas and scientific advancements for researchers, educators and interested individuals. Management

Shared Science Publishers is based in Graz (Austria) and managed by two directors and two managers for communication and technical issues, respectively. In addition, Shared Science Publishers is supported by the opinions and recommendations of a number of scientific advisors with both an above-average scientific record and broad experience in scholarly and life science publishing.

Directors
The directors of Shared Science Publishers are ultimately responsible for the scientific quality of the journals released. Thereby, at the publisher level, they are assisted by the corresponding Editorial Board, whose members are selectively chosen based on their scientific achievements in their respective field.

Frank Madeo, Director Frank Madeo is a Professor of Molecular Biology at the Institute for Molecular Biosciences at the University of Graz (Austria). He has coordinated several special issues in journals like BBA Molecular Cell Research and Cell Death and Differentiation, is the Editor-in Chief of Microbial Cell and a member of the Editorial Boards of Molecular and Cellular Oncology, Cell Death and Disease, BBA Molecular Cell Research and FEMS Yeast Research.

Didac Carmona-Gutierrez, Director Didac Carmona-Gutierrez is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Molecular Biosciences at the University of Graz (Austria). He is the Editor-in-Chief of Microbial Cell and Review Editor for Molecular and Cellular Oncology. His additional experience ranges from the production of science communication products and material to his activity as a research manager of the Aging and Cell Death unit at the University of Graz (Austria).

Communication
The communication staff of Shared Science Publishers takes over miscellaneous tasks, including finances, accounting, advertisement, marketing, public relations, or customer care.

Maria Bauer, Communication Manager Maria Bauer researches and teaches at the University of Graz (Austria). She has extensive experience in scientific communication and has previously worked as sales assistant, event co-organizer and communication associate in the private sector.

Technical management
The technical team of Shared Science Publishers is responsible for IT-related issues like Internet presence, data infrastructure, and hardware administration and assists in general media production.

Sebastian Hofer, Technical Manager   Sebastian Hofer is a molecular microbiologist from the University of Graz (Austria) with a broad background in the fields of media production and informatics. He has headed different projects in the areas of website administration, development and webdesign.
